We believe learning should be stress-free from start to finish, which includes getting here as well. Our Academy location offers excellent connectivity through multiple transport links such as buses and tube stations like Baker Street station just minutes away by foot. You’ll find it easy to navigate even if you’re new to London after all, 'getting lost' isn’t part of our curriculum. But let's get into specifics.

BY TUBE
If you're coming by tube, we're just a stone's throw away from Baker Street Station. Exit thestation, take a left onto Baker Street itself and keep walking for about 3 minutes until you see our academy on your right-hand side.

BY BUS
Buses are another convenient way to reach us. Several bus routes including numbers 13, 18, 27and others stop near us. You can use this handy bus route finder for precise directions.

PARKING NEAR US
If you prefer driving over public transport but worry about parking – fear not. There are several car parks nearby such as Q-Park Oxford Street or NCP London Marylebone Road Car Park that offer reasonable rates throughout the day. Check out their web pages to get more info.

ULEZ AND CONGESTION CHARGES
Keep in mind that to drive to our location you will need to pay a Congestion Charge, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and/or the Low Emission Zone depending on what vehicle you are driving. Your number plate (Vehicle Registration Mark) will tell you which charges you need to pay. Plan ahead so you know when best to travel without paying extra. Check TFL’s official site for more details about Ulez and congestion charges.

ACCOMMODATION AROUND US
If you're traveling to us and need accommodation, there are a multitude of nearby hotels for a convenient stay. You can also find more affordable accommodation around various boroughs of London as our location is very easy to reach via public transport. Check Booking.com to find a suitable stay for your needs.

Since 1954, we have been offering exceptional education in beauty therapy courses provided by our highly qualified professional lecturers in a safe, modern, encouraging, and supportive training environment. We can train total beginners looking to embark on a brand new career in the exciting beauty industry, as well as therapists who have already trained and wish to update their skills. Ray Cochrane is a multi-award-winning Beauty training academy.

1. Beauty Therapy Courses

We offer a variety of accredited and insurable beauty therapy courses, including Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Beauty Therapy and a Combined Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy course from prestigious accredited institutions. Our courses are available on a part-time basis on weekends and evenings, as well as full-time, allowing you to become fully qualified and ready for the industry. In addition to our classroom-based courses, we also have online beauty therapy courses. Our online VTCT ITEC Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology course provides knowledge about the anatomical structures and physiological functions of the body.

2. Laser and Skin Courses

Our beauty academy in London offers advanced aesthetic courses for individuals interested in improving their skills and pursuing a career in skincare and advanced skin aesthetics. The courses include Level 2 & 3 Facial, laser/IPL training, chemical skin peel, skin needling and mesotherapy.

3. Nail Technician and Microblading Courses

If you are interested in pursuing a career as a nail technician or an eyebrow microblading artist, we offer courses tailored to your needs. The nail technician course is one of the fastest-growing career paths in the beauty sector. The VTCT Level 2 & 3 Nail Tech Diploma is widely accepted for licensing purposes by all London boroughs and other local authorities in the UK. You can achieve this fully accredited NVQ nail qualification in just 19 weeks. Our Level 4 Certificate in Microblading course at Ray Cochrane Beauty School is highly popular among students. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a highly sought-after internationally recognised Level 4 certificate. They will become fully qualified microblading technicians with a portfolio of microbladed eyebrows, making them ready for employment opportunities.

I've just completed my Level 5 Laser Tattoo Removal course with the beautiful Miglena and I cannot review the school (as well as Eleanora & Miglena) more highly. Thank you for giving me the confidence to start my own lasering business. If anyone reading this is unsure, do it!! It's the best thing you'll ever do. The content is informative, interesting & well set out. We had plenty of practice on several models which really helped to fine-tune our skills. We spent our first week at the old location and then continued learning at their new location just down the road. The new location has much more daylight and is a lot less crowded. Overall a great experience.

I completed my Level 2 & 3 (Facial Electrotherapy), as well as my Level 4 (Microneedling & Chemical Peel) courses at Ray Cochrane, and I am very happy with the overall experience. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive and making most of the classes engaging and enjoyable (especially Pembe & Eleonora).

The Level 2 and 3 courses provided a strong foundation, and the Level 4 course, despite presenting a few minor challenges and communication issues, was still enriching. The knowledge gained has been great. I am definitely considering enrolling in another course at some point! 😊

Finished my VTCT Level 2 and Level 4 in Ray Cochrane.
Overall an amazing school with the most knowledgeable teacher I've come across in all my courses - Eleonora. Eleonora truly is a gem, extremely patient, kind and able to answer every question.
Missing 5th star as school definitely needs new space as school is very outdated, not very well kept, crowded with items, often missing such simple things as hand soap etc. Having said that, if I would choose to continue my learning, I would go for Ray Cochrane again.

I completed my level 4 laser and IPL a few weeks ago with Ray Cochrane. Miglena is a fantastic teacher with a wealth of knowledge and I left feeling so much more confident, skilled with understanding in IPL and laser. Having a small group of 4 was perfect and was all so supportive.

Every message—whether it leads to a booking or not—is a win. It means you’ve been noticed, and they might come back or refer you to a friend. 💬

Stay confident and proud of your achievements. Confidence attracts clients!

Remember:

* Established pros or those with big social circles may start strong but can have very quiet periods too.

* If you’re starting without a client base, be prepared to hustle and wait for growth. Patience is key!

Tips: 💎

Know your worth. Offer irresistible, but not too-cheap, intro deals to avoid attracting just bargain hunters.

Create special packages: Summer glow, post-holiday skin care, and more!

Engage locally:

* Use Google My Business like a social platform.

* Cold outreach is tough—people need to see your services around 7 times before they act.

We’re back spotlighting more students’ stories in the aesthetics industry! 🌸

Meet our next alumni Louisa, owner of @floragy_facials, who found her passion after a stressful fashion retail career.

She shares:

“I enrolled in Level 2 Skincare and Facials in 2023 after leaving my stressful career in fashion retail.

I had already set up my own naturally derived skincare brand Floragy (@floragy_skincare) in 2019, which was going from strength to strength, and I wanted to do something which complemented my existing brand.

I’ve never done anything like it before so I was nervous about going back into a classroom!

But the course structure was really comprehensive, my tutor Maria was so helpful and knowledgeable and the environment was supportive. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done!

After completing the course I now offer facials treatments in a beautiful space in Faversham, Kent using my products.

I love being able to do something so relaxing and grounding for other people and I get so much joy out of it. I’ll definitely be back to the school to further my training!”
