What you will learn?
Beginner facial training in London
The VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare course combines online theory with supervised practical training for learners without previous beauty experience. Develop your skills in consultation, skin analysis, cleansing, masks and facial massage.
Over the course of 5 weeks, students practise professional facial treatments, including skin analysis, steaming, mask application and facial massage.
Alongside academy attendance, allow time for theory, written assignments and assessment preparation. You will demonstrate your knowledge and practical competence through the course assessments.
Key areas of study include:
Hygiene, Health, and Safety— Learn best practices for maintaining a clean, secure salon environment for both clients and professionals.
Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin— Understanding the structure and functions of the skin is vital for effective facial treatments.
Skin Analysis— Master the skills to identify various skin types and conditions, tailoring treatments to meet individual client needs.
Facial Treatments— Gain expertise in cleansing, toning, moisturising, and applying masks.
Massage Techniques— Learn to provide relaxing massages for the face, neck, and shoulders to enhance client satisfaction.
Client Care— Develop the confidence to deliver exceptional service and build strong client relationships.
Academy training takes place at 75 Baker Street, London W1U 6RE. You will practise with tutor guidance and complete the required assessments.
To obtain the VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare award, you will need to complete the following three units:
