VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling is an advanced qualification that has been designed uniquely for level 3 qualified beauty therapists or medical experts who want to add advanced aesthetic treatments to their treatments offering.
The Level 4 Skin Peeling course provided by Ray Cochrane Beauty School will not only teach you how to correctly complete skin peeling treatments. Students will also learn the science behind the procedure to develop all the skills required to safely carry out skin peeling treatments.
On the course, students will learn how to use various chemicals for skin peelings, such as Glycolic acid, Salicylic Acid, Kojic acid and more.
Compared to other skin peeling training providers, Ray Cochrane will be using DermaQuest products for training. DermaQuest is the leading professional skin care products used by many aesthetic clinics throughout the country and will put students in the best position for employment. Many other beauty schools, use stock products, but at RCBS, we want students to work with the highest quality products.
The course will consist of four units: Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies, Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies, Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies, Provide skin peeling treatments.
On the Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies unit, training will include: the how-tos of client consultation – explaining procedures, contraindications, and patch testing. Students will learn how to give Post-treatment advice – the need for SPF & UVA sun protectors, preventing infection, and additional treatment plans.
The Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies unit will focus on the core science behind chemical peels – the whys, the hows, and when. Students will also learn health and safety elements that cover preparing the working area, sterilising equipment, and the correct disposal of equipment.
Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies will cover the various acids used in chemical peels – the pH, percentages, and application process.
Finally, in the providing skin peeling treatments unit we will teach you how to treat: dull skin tone, open pores, textured skin, and the appearance of wrinkles, and fine lines. Students will be required to complete 6 case studies using various acids over the 5 weeks of onsite training.
On the successful completion of Level 4 Skin Peeling course, you will reach a very high level of competence at performing skin peeling treatments safely and professionally.
