As with any of our VTCT beauty courses, our combined facials course is a fully accredited and globally recognised qualification. From just 5 weeks, you can become an expert facial therapist!

The course combines our most popular VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skin Care course with the VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy course to create a seamless learning experience for those looking to specialise in everything facial!

Students will learn the essential practical skills of delivering facial treatments, including electrotherapy treatments to clients, whilst understanding the health and safety needed within a salon environment.

Course Outline
What will you learn?

You will learn the essential practical skills of delivering facial treatments to clients whilst understanding the health and safety needed within a salon environment.

The Level 2 facial and skincare unit will enable you to perform a professional full facial treatment on a client.

The level 3 units expand on the essential skills you will have grasped in the level 2 part of the combined course, encouraging you to incorporate electrotherapy machines with facial and skin care treatments. You will treat clients with decreased facial definition, slower collagen production, and unhealthy and puffy skin.

Facial electrotherapy treatments learnt in the course include: High Frequency, Microcurrent, EMS, and Lymph Drainage. Compared to other beauty schools, we have incorporated the complete Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy qualification so you will also be trained in applying microdermabrasion and advanced skin theory.

As the course is designed to take you from beginner facial enthusiasts to expert facial therapists, you will also complete Level 3 dermatology and microbiology, in which you will gain an in-depth understanding of facial and skin care.

To obtain VTCT Level 2 & 3 Skincare and Facial Electrotherapy qualifications, you will need to complete the following five units:
  • 1 Facial Massage and Skincare
  • 2 Provide Facial Electrotherapy Treatments
  • 3 Apply Micro Dermabrasion
  • 4 Dermatology and Microbiology
  • 5 Health, Safety and Hygiene of the workplace
  • 6 Client Care, Communication and Salon Reception Duties

  • 1 What qualifications will I get after this course?

    Once successfully completed, you will have gained 2 VTCT qualifications: Level 2 Facial & Skincare Award and  Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy Certificate.

  • 2 What can I do after the combined Level 2 and 3 facials and skin course?

    You may also use this as a stepping stone to various aesthetics training programs such as Level 4 Microneedling, Level 4 Laser & IPL, and Level 4 Chemical Skin Peeling.

  • 3 What are entry requirements for Level 2 and 3 combi facials and skincare course?

    This course is open to all, regardless of prior experience. You do not need to have any other VTCT qualifications, as this course is thoughtfully designed for newcomers and seasoned pros alike. Students must be aged 18 and over and must be able to speak and understand English at a level that is sufficient to participate in the course.   • 4 How will I be assessed during the facials and skin care combi course?

    Assessment is continuous and consists of practical assessments, oral questions, tests, and written assignments. You will provide evidence to determine whether you have reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. The collation of the assessments will be contained in a portfolio which will contain all document feedback sheets and written assessments/projects/assignments.
