I recently completed Level 1&2 Beauty as well as Level 4 Laser and IPL Hair Removal courses. The comprehensive curriculum and hands-on experience provided by the courses were invaluable. The instructors were knowledgeable, and I am grateful for the skills and expertise I gained. Highly recommend these courses for anyone pursuing a career in beauty and aesthetics.
I completed my Level 2 & 3 (Facial Electrotherapy), as well as my Level 4 (Microneedling & Chemical Peel) courses at Ray Cochrane, and I am very happy with the overall experience. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive and making most of the classes engaging and enjoyable (especially Pembe & Eleonora).

Overall an amazing school with the most knowledgeable teacher I've come across in all my courses - Eleonora. Eleonora truly is a gem, extremely patient, kind and able to answer every question.
Missing 5th star as school definitely needs new space as school is very outdated, not very well kept, crowded with items, often missing such simple things as hand soap etc. Having said that, if I would choose to continue my learning, I would go for Ray Cochrane again.

I had a Level 2-3 skin care and electrotherapy with teacher Pembe Hassan. She was amazing lovely, funny, knowledgeable and supportive. Even after I’ve done the course she still help me out through some questions.
We send our therapists to Ray Cochrane for advanced laser & IPL training: we find their instruction to be detailed and professional, and they have been able to arrange bespoke courses tailored to our requirements. The staff, notably Amy and Xubin, are extremely responsive, and dealing with them has been a pleasure. Highly recommended!

I completed my level 2 and 3 in nails and my level 3 in beauty therapy. I can not recommend Ray Cochrane enough. I am now going to complete my level 4 courses and looking forward to being back. They are knowledgeable about many things and the information they provide on their courses is very in depth. This helped me build my confidence to work in the beauty industry. Ray Cochrane Aesthetics Academy is one of the best, I had done my level 2 facial ,3 facial and body massage and electrotherapy with Pembe (amazing tutorial with lots of experience) and CPD MESOTHERAPY level 4 Microneedling and chemical peel with Maria kind outstanding experience tutorial gave us loads of tips to be successful in Advanced Aesthetics for microneedling and chemical peel how to combine treatment best technique and much more, Also many thanks for the lovely and very helpful stuff Amy, Stefka, kzubin and head of the academy Eleanora our theory tutorial who gives you all the info in an easy and clear way to remember and stick in your mind also shared with us her tips and experience

I recently completed the levels 2 & 3 Nail Technician course with Ray Cochrane in June 2023 at Canary Wharf. My teacher Arjana was AMAZING! her knowledge, experience and techniques are excellent. I've been a model for students' practical training for some time now and I am so impressed with their quality standards! First of all the instructor (Meglena) is amazing! She's knowledgeable, experienced, thorough with unbelievable attention to detail. I can easily trust her with my face and body and I'm a very peaky client. In her hands and in hands of her students I feel safe. All students are guided at every little step of their learning journey. She's always there for them, showing them the way, supporting, giving valuable information and assessing their knowledge. The clinic is equipped with latest machines and they use their best devices for training purposes which is a pure admiration. Apart from that every student is equipped with ever changing PPE and they use high quality expensive skin products. The school provides it all and they invest so much into offering the best working environment to their students. Seeing all this makes me consider becoming a beauty industry student at Ray Cochrane myself.

I completed Level 4 in laser and IPL at Ray Cochrane a few years ago and 3 of my laser therapists have just finished their Level 4 courses. The training is gold standard and the tutors are knowledgable, friendly and experienced. We love the fact that they use Alma Soprano laser machines which we have in our clinic, and the Alma IPL Harmony skin treatment machine As one of the longest established beauty academies in the UK I wouldn’t send my therapists anywhere else!!
I cannot say how grateful I am for this school, especially for two amazing tutors: Maria in facial level 2 and Carmen in level 3. From reception and all the staff involved, everything went smooth and they all make sure you have the best knowledge when completing your course.

I recently completed my Level 3 Beauty Therapy course with Ray Cochrane (Baker Street) we had a very supportive course Tutor, Korrin Johnson she was very informative throughout the course and helped us during our time studying. There were various elements to the Beauty Therapy course, it was useful to record videos to be able to look back on. Korrin also helped us with any questions we had on practical work experience and was always there to guide and answer any questions we had.
I did not attend a course myself but spoke to the admin team on numerous occasions and I cannot begin to explain how helpful, understanding and supportive they were. I would 100% recommend Ray Cochrane Beauty School to anyone wanting to further their education - what a fabulous place and a fabulous team!
I have just finished the VTCT level 4 in laser hair reduction and IPL skin rejuvenation. The school was in a easy to get to area, with plenty of local food places to feed myself. The training was intensive, but Miglena has a very good way of explaining things and is really knowledge and approachable. We had the most up to date equipment to practice with and they had organised models for us to practice on ( this often isn't the case I've found with courses). Lastly the girls in the office were very helpful and friendly if I needed any help with anything. Highly recommend.
I made my level 3 beauty therapy in this school and I was very pleased with our teacher Korrin. She was very open to give a lot of knowledge, very diplomatic and patient, caring and attentive. The school location is very convenient, the course was informative and I enjoyed Sunday attendance as it allowed me to work during the week. The interior rooms are quiet simple but they had everything needed for the course.
Being a student for level 4 ( Laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation) also for level 4 ( Chemical peel and Microneedling) was the best experienced ever. I have just completed Level 4 Chemical Peel & Micro needling recently, it was a great experience and I also got to meet some wonderful ladies. The school offers great level of support and communication, helps you to get through the course. Eleonora, our teacher who has so much passion and extensive knowledge of the beauty industry, has never hold back to share her knowledge and experiences with all of us, which made the course so much relevant and enjoyable. Why take CIBTAC Beauty Therapy Diploma
The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) has been producing beauty, complementary & spa therapy graduates of the highest calibre since 1977.
The CIBTAC Professional Beauty Therapy Diploma is a level 3 internationally recognised beauty therapy diploma designed so that graduates become fully qualified beauty therapists who are salon ready and able to explore the wide beauty career path of their choice.
From September 2022, this course was replaced by VTCT Level 2 and 3 beauty therapy combi course at Ray Cochrane Beauty Aesthetics Academy. VTCT beauty diplomas are OFQUAL accredited and recognised in the beauty industry.
However, if you are still interested in completing the CIBTAC Beauty Therapy Diploma, you can enrol at our sister school – The London School of Beauty & Make-Up. The school is located at 18-19 Long Lane, London EC1A 9PL.
Level 2 CIBTAC Diploma in Beauty Therapy with Level 3 Award in Facial Electrotherapy Treatments
- Manicures – (regular painting techniques, french polish, hand massage and warm oil / paraffin wax nourishing treatments
- Pedicures – (regular painting techniques, french polish, foot scrub and foot massage)
- Facial and Skin Care – incorporating massage, mixing and application of face masques, steaming and extraction, product knowledge
- Waxing – using both hot beeswax and strip wax methods
- Eyes – including eyelash and eyebrow tinting and shaping, application of false eyelashes and professional make-up from day and evening looks, through to bridal techniques
- Electrical Facial Treatments – including Micro-current non-surgical lift, Vacuum Suction, Galvanic and Faradic E.M.S. machines
CIBTAC LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN BODY THERAPY SERVICES
- Swedish Body Massage
- Hot Stone Massage
- Figure Analysis
- Electrical Body Treatments – including Micro-current, Vacuum Suction, Galvanic, Faradic E.M.S. (‘Slendertone’), G5 massage and infrared.
To obtain the CIBTAC Beauty Therapy Diploma you will need to complete the outlined modules across a 24 week period.
The modules are:
- Aesthetic Treatments including Facial electrical machines
- Body Treatments including Swedish body massage and electrical machines
- Figure Diagnosis
- Anatomy and Physiology
Students on the course will also cover a range of general studies that will better prepare them to become talented beauty therapists. These modules include Anatomy & Physiology, Contraindications to therapies, Diet and Nutrition. Students will also learn skills that will assist them in working in a salon such as Business Studies, Salon Management Fundamentals and Client Consultation. Students will also gain brand training for Dermalogica, BCL and gel polish.
Finally, as part of your CIBTAC beauty therapy course at LSBM, you will gain commercial salon experience. Once you have understood and practiced the treatments in your class and your tutor is confident in your skills, you will work in the LSBM salon. Clients come into the school to get treatments done by student therapists for a discounted price. The purpose of this day is for the students to practise their knowledge and skill with the different treatments they have been taught. This gives the students better experience and knowledge of many different skin types, body types, ages and ethnicities, making them industry ready by graduation.
CIBTAC, ITEC and CIDESCO require that you have salon experience to show that you are able to work to professional timings and complete a variety of treatments.
