How to become facial and skincare specialist

From the moment we are born, we begin to learn routines that will make up our days, such as when we eat, sleep or shower. Indeed, these routines are so ingrained into our daily lives that many of us would be lost without that morning coffee time or your regular trip to the gym due to us being creatures of habit.

Adding a new routine to our lives can be tricky though, which is why many of us struggle when trying to add a proper beauty skincare routine to our daily habits. However, with our skin being the largest organ in our bodies, it’s imperative that we look after it, which is why you need to start looking after your skin today.

What Are the Benefits of a Good Skincare?

For some, the idea of a daily beauty skincare routine can feel like a laborious and expensive task. You might just be surprised, though, at just how easy it is to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Plus, by getting into the habit of looking after your skin, you will benefit from a lot of other perks too:

1: Your Skin Will Look Younger

It doesn’t matter what age you are; we all want to have flawless, youthful skin that makes us look younger than we are. Your skincare routine is key here, as by regularly exfoliating and moisturising, you will get rid of any old and dead cells that can make your skin look dull. Which are then replaced by new cells that will help make your skin look more youthful.

This is especially important as you get older, as your skin cells don’t shed as quickly as they did when you were younger. So, by giving your skin cells a helping hand to rejuvenate, it won’t be long before your skin is glowing and looking incredibly healthy.

2: It Will Help Your Skin Look Flawless

Whether you’re worried about spots or wrinkles – or perhaps even both – establishing a beauty skincare routine will help you take control of your skin and help you on your journey to flawless skin. All you need to do is find an effective routine that suits your skin type.

3: You Can Prevent Problems Before They Happen

Many of us wait until a skin problem happens before we start a beauty therapy treatment to fix it. However, once you have something like acne, dry skin, or wrinkles, it can be very difficult and expensive to correct these problems.

Instead, by investing in a good skincare routine that will help stop any skin issues, you can help prevent any problems – saving you money and stress in the long-run.

4: Good Skin Gives You Confidence

We don’t often think about our skin giving us confidence but rather it is that nice new lipstick or blusher we’ve bought that makes us feel better about ourselves. By having good skin, you will instantly feel better about yourself.

Just think, if you get plagued by an acne breakout, we do everything to cover these spots up to make ourselves feel better. By having a good skincare routine in place, though, these breakouts are less likely to happen. Even better, by spending the time looking after your skin, it will provide a much better base for any nice make-up you do buy, so you will feel even more confident in photographs.

What Products Should You Use in Your Beauty Therapy Routine?

When deciding on your beauty skincare routine, it can be hard to know which products to use and which not to. Especially when there seems to be so many different lotions and potions on the market. Worry not, though, as here are our top recommendations for your beauty shelf:

1: Cleanser

Your cleanser will work to remove any dirt or make-up that can clog up your pores and cause irritation. To choose the correct cleanser to make your skin flawless, you need to know your skin type. As, when you have greasy skin, it means your skin produces lots of oil, so choose an oil-free product to prevent adding more oil to your skin.

2: Toner

After you have cleansed and then rinsed your face with tepid water, your next step is a toner. Here a toner will help to shrink your pores, soothe any irritations and work to replace any vitamins your skin might need.

3: Exfoliator

While you will aim to use cleanse and tone twice a day, when it comes to exfoliating this should only be done once or twice a week as they can be quite harsh on the skin. This shouldn’t put you off using them, though, as your exfoliator is ideal for removing dead skin cells, leaving you with younger and healthier looking skin.

4: Moisturiser

Whenever you cleanse and tone your face, you should then use a moisturiser to stop your skin from getting dry. It’s a common misconception that if you have oily skin that you shouldn’t use moisturiser, however, by not using a moisturiser you can actually make your skin oilier. Instead, look for moisturisers that are oil-free or that are gel-based rather than lotions.

5: Serum

A facial serum is similar to a moisturiser except it is more concentrated in certain ingredients, such as vitamin C or glycolic acid. Serums are often used to target specific skin problems like redness or if you have wrinkles. So, if you have a skin niggle, a targeted serum can help you fix your problem.

6: Sunscreen

We often don’t think about applying sunscreen to our faces unless we’re on holiday. However, whenever you go outside – even if it’s cloudy – you could be damaging your skin with UV rays. Which can lead to premature aging. To help protect your skin, use a SPF sunscreen of 30 or more every day.
