This comprehensive course integrates the VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare course with the VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy course. As of 2024 at Ray Cochrane Academy, we have included the online Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Award at no extra cost to offer our students a seamless learning journey.
Key areas of study include:
Facial Treatments – Master the entire professional facial routine from skin analysis to cleansing to massage.
Facial Electrotherapy – Incorporate advanced treatments such as high-frequency, micro-current, galvanic high-frequency, suction, and lymph drainage for enhanced skin rejuvenation.
Anatomy & Physiology – Gain an in-depth understanding of the whole body’s systems, including the integumentary, skeletal, cardiovascular, lymphatic, and more.
Students will combine practical skills learnt on live models with advanced skin theory. This course equips students to treat various skin concerns, such as decreased facial definition, slower collagen production, and puffiness.
To obtain VTCT Level 2 & 3 Skincare and Facial Electrotherapy qualifications + VTCT Level 3 Award in Anatomy & Physiology, you will need to complete the following units:

What are the entry requirements?

Do I need any previous experience to join this course?
No. This Level 2–3 Combined Facial & Skincare course is designed for complete beginners as well as those already working in beauty who want a recognised VTCT qualification. Our tutors guide you step-by-step through theory and practical skills, so you’ll feel confident from day one.
What is our class size?Our class size is small, averaging 12 students per class. This allows for individual attention and support from our experienced tutors during practical assessments.
What qualifications will I get after this course?You will gain:
- VTCT Level 2 Facial & Skincare

- VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Award
These are internationally recognised qualifications and open the door to employment in salons, spas, clinics, and progression to Level 4 Aesthetics training such as skin peels, microneedling, and laser/IPL.
Can I work straight away once I qualify?Yes. Once you have completed the course and passed all assessments, you can work as a qualified Level 3 Facial & Skincare Therapist in:

How will I be assessed during the facials and skin care combi course?Assessment is continuous and consists of practical assessments, oral questions, tests, and written assignments. You will provide evidence to determine whether you have reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. The collation of the assessments will be contained in a portfolio which will contain all document feedback sheets and written assessments/projects/assignments.

We spent our first week at the old location and then continued learning at their new location just down the road. The new location has much more daylight and is a lot less crowded. Overall a great experience.
The Level 2 and 3 courses provided a strong foundation, and the Level 4 course, despite presenting a few minor challenges and communication issues, was still enriching. The knowledge gained has been great. I am definitely considering enrolling in another course at some point! 😊
Overall an amazing school with the most knowledgeable teacher I've come across in all my courses - Eleonora. Eleonora truly is a gem, extremely patient, kind and able to answer every question.
Missing 5th star as school definitely needs new space as school is very outdated, not very well kept, crowded with items, often missing such simple things as hand soap etc. Having said that, if I would choose to continue my learning, I would go for Ray Cochrane again.

The course is in depth and provides the knowledge you need to work as a laser technician, it has certainly filled in the blanks that I needed to do my job.
