“It all started when I used a tattoo removal solution that unfortunately caused severe burns on my arm. Desperate for help, I reached out to various clinics, but to my disappointment, none of them were willing to assist me.”

Ben says, during our conversation that we are having in our Academy student’s lounge room, after his successful completion of our course. Determined to find a solution, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He started by working at a tattoo shop, specialising in cover-up tattoos. This allowed him to build a client base and gain valuable experience in the industry.

It was during this time that he realised the potential of laser technology and its applications in the beauty industry.

Taking the Risk and Investing in the Future

With a vision in mind, Ben knew he needed to invest in a laser machine to provide the services he envisioned. However, starting a business from scratch comes with inherent risks, especially when investing a substantial amount of money without any clients. Nevertheless, he took a leap of faith and purchased his first laser machine for £20,000.

Expanding and Diversifying Services

As the business started to grow, Ben realised the need for a larger space to accommodate more clients and offer a wider range of services. In 2018, he made the decision to move premises and invested £10,000 to renovate the new space. This move allowed him to merge his laser services with a beauty salon he also ran, creating a synergy between the two businesses.

To support the expansion and cater to the increasing demand for their services Ben took out loans to purchase additional laser machines. Today, the clinic boasts an impressive array of seven machines and which are worth more than you could imagine.

With such a diverse range at their disposal, Plymouth Laser Clinics is thriving and now offers a wide range of treatments to their growing customer base such as laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, scalp micro pigmentation, laser skin rejuvenation, plasma pen treatments and more.
